⏱️ Duration: 30mins-1hr

This is a note taking exercise that enables the team to capture opportunities during the expert interviews.

How does it work?

1. Each team member listens to the experts wants and needs and frames them as an opportunity on a post it note beginning with ‘How Might We’.
2. All the HMWs are put up on the wall and all team members sort them into categories
3. Each team member then gets to vote on which they think are the most important HMWs for the project
4. A pyramid of HMWs is created from most important to least important in descending order

Example

The expert says:

‘It takes a long time for the video content to upload before the user can continue with their work’

A team member writes:

‘How might we, allow the user to continue with their workflow without having to wait for the video to finish uploading’

Output

A handful of HMWs are chosen to focus on.
